Our choirmasters: 

      Roman Z. Novák and Klára Ježková

Roman Z. Novák was born in 1967.
He studied composition in the class
of prof. M. Kopelent at the Prague Academy of Musical Arts (AMU)
from 1991 to 1997. From 1994
he took lessons in conducting
from L. Svárovský. In 1995 he
received the 2nd Prize
in the International Prague Spring
music festival competition for
composers, and represented the
Czech Republic at the meeting of
young composers in Leipzig. He
attended composition and conducting courses and seminars both in the
Czech Republic and abroad, in
Germany and U.S. His compositions, too, were performed in these countries.
In spring 1998 he co-founded the Art-n association of artists, and in 1999 he was awarded the Ernst von Siemens Prize.
Klára Ježková was born in 1982. She studied to be a choirmistress under the supervision of Jan Rozehnal at the Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University in Prague and graduated in the spring of 2006. Now she is a student at the same Faculty, completing her teacher training in Music Education. Since 1994 she has been an active member of various choirs, both mixed and women’s only. Between 2002 and 2004 she was the choirmistress of the Hlahol Children’s Choir. Since 2004 she has been working as the voice 
consultant to the mixed choir of the Prague Hlahol and as of 2006 she has been its assistant choirmistress.
